After taking a break from programming (other than web development) during my masters degree, the potential I saw in iOS programming prompted me to start programming as a hobby once again. Thanks to massive help from my brother, I was able to get my bearing with Objective-C and the iOS SDK.
I’ve decided to compile a list of resources that were helpful to me when I began iPhone development. I also plan on writing a few OpenGL tutorials as a number of tutorials out there are out of date or hard to get working on the iPhone.
Ray Wenderlich’s tutorials have been invaluable. The current tutorials introduce newbies to a number of useful topics.
Jeff Lamarche is currently a programmer and author who has focused his energy on iPhone and Mac development. He has a series of great OpenGL tutorials.
